Work Permit?How to Apply?

由于前一阵子发了几封邮件给台湾各相关单位与部门索取更确定的资料与详情，所以拖延至今才整理一切关于approval letter也就是work permit的疑问。

除了台湾领事馆，简称TECO(Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office)之外，我也发邮件与中华民国外交部，简称MOFA(Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan)询问一些关于短期工作详情。最后，我都需要向台湾外交部领事事务局， 简称BOCA (Bureau of Consular Affairs,Ministry of Foreign Affairs)申请有关文件。整个申请过程将由台湾的雇主提交并申请，拿到之后，再由雇主发给我们，然后去可以办理VISA咯！

很乱？太多部门了？哈哈~别担心，最终我们只需把文件准备妥当，交给雇主，那么他们可以帮我们申请咯！有人问，这些事都不需要你处理的嘛，为何不叫雇主自己弄呢？其实，为了方便雇主，也方便自己增广见闻，所以都自己一一接洽并询问咯！

首先，整个申请工作许可证(Work Permit)的流程可在Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training,简称BEVT 查询并下载。

为了让大家更清晰申请work permit需要准备那些文件交给雇主，以便他们交上BOCA处理，所以请参考如下：-


Documents required:
1. Application form(s)
2. Original receipt for examination fee (NT $500 per case)
*雇主须交付马币大约五十六-五十八零吉
3. Name List of the employed foreign workers (1 copy)
4. Photocopy of the passport of the employed foreign worker
5. Photocopy of the education diploma of the employed foreign worker
*提供相关教育文凭
6. Documents for the employed foreign worker’s work experiences. (You don’t need to submit if the foreign workers are not required. )
*可向前度公司索取推荐信
7. Photocopy of the company owner’s ID card, the certificates of the company registration/business registration, and photocopy of the license for specially permitted businesses. (You don’t need to submit the last two documents if you do not have them.)
8. Copy or photocopy of the employment contract
9. Photocopy of the proving documents of the amount of company’s capital or revenue
 10. The permission documents for the employment from the worker’s legal agent if the worker is fewer than 20 of age.  

*All photocopy documents shall be noted as same as the original and be sealed with company or owner’s seal.

由于整个程序与我之前的理念working holiday（旅游优先，工作第二）有所出入，所以我之前申请VISA的目的需要改为TRAVEL/TOURISM， 而不是Employment了。

    Chris 你好，

    工作申请有三份，请问Chris的案例是通过哪一类申请呢？工作行业是否有规定？

    我就‘专业人士’（第一张）进行过询问，但是雇主的门槛非常高，营业额要到千万以上！

      Hi CCF,

      Sorry for late reply. I wish to work there previously, but due to some problem, I end up to apply the work permit and continue my backpack travelling by working with the local firm without get any salary.They just only provide me accommodation and meal as well. Therefore, I think you need try harder to looking for the best job in Taiwan.

    Hi CCF,

    First of all, you have found the local company who will hire you?If yes, I think they can help you to run the work permit already while you need apply the VISA by yourselves after get the work permit. Please refer the documents you need to prepare to the local company which want to hire you for applying the work permit as above. So, do you have found the company who offers to hire you already?If yes, I think they can do the work permit for you already!^^

    My employer has no experience in applying work permit for foreigner and this is a special case - work + travel (no salary). I really hope you can tell me in details as what type of work permit and Visa to apply for.

    I found that employer cannot simply apply work permit for foreigner, they must have proof that they cannot employ worker in TW before employing a foreigner.

    Hey CCF, please allow me to interrupt.
    I think in your case, you need to clear that what are you doing and how long would you stay in Taiwan.

    If you are going to working holiday not longer than 6 months and it is not paid. Then just go ahead with travel visa.

    Else, you seriously need to call the Taiwan embassy to find out what should you do. Applying working visa in Taiwan is not that easy as you said. Your hiring company must prepare some proof as you said.

      Dear CCF,

      That's right as what Tintin said. Taiwan Labor Affair and Taiwan embassy is really strict in employing a foreigner in a local firm. I have sent to Taiwan Labor Affair and embassy before that regarding these matter,but the end of the day, I think only the local employer should go to the Labor Affair to get know more details as they are the person who able apply for us.You need advise your employer to call to Taiwan labor affair to ask and understand more about the application details.
